Marco Doda, 23, will represent Albania at the 2019 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation-World Mixed Martial Arts Association Senior World Championships of Amateur MMA. While he was born and raised in Italy, his family is originally from Mirdita, Albania.
Currently, Doda holds an amateur MMA record of 9 wins and 3 losses. He made his debut on February 2, 2018.
In November 2018, Doda won one out of two bouts in the IMMAF-WMMAA Unified World Championships at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Manama, Bahrain. He previously competed in Italian Fighting Championship, Praedator Fighting Championship, Venator Fighting Championship, The Golden Cage, Federation Italian Grappling MMA, Cage Warriors Academy and Power Nation Fighting Championship.
Doda was born in Barletta, Italy but he is now based in Milan, Italy. Competing in the men’s middleweight division, which is at 83.9kg (185lbs), he is the only fighter representing Albania at the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships.
Including Doda, a total of 32 fighters will compete in the men’s middleweight division. One of them is Giovanni Edoardo Rufino of Italy.
Hosted by the Bahrain MMA Federation (BMMAF) under the auspices of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Champions will take place at the Khalifa Sports City from November 10-16, 2019. It will be held in parallel with the 2019 Junior World Championships.

On November 10, 2019, there will be a tournament draw and the competition will run from November 11-14, 2019 and on November 16, 2019 starting at 11 a.m. (UTC +3) each day. All matches take place under Unified Amateur MMA Rules.
