“Unstopabble” Angela Lee, 23, of Singapore and her husband Bruno “Puccibull” Pucci, 29, of Brazil live in Waipahu, Hawaii, United States where they established United BJJ. Focusing on the grappling arts, it is a branch of the United MMA gym owned by her family.
“I love training with my husband,” Lee said of Pucci. “He always pushes me hard and brings out the best in me. I’m very grateful to have him as my partner in life and in training.”
“Bruno is a second degree BJJ black belt and a two-time No Gi world champion,” Lee continued. “He has a lot of knowledge and I really appreciate everything that he shares with me.”
Lee has trained in BJJ since she was young but one major factor contributing to her skill growth is being able to roll with Pucci, a highly decorated BJJ champion and a ONE Championship athlete. They met when they became teammates at Evolve MMA in Singapore and the results of their hard work have certainly shown.
It has been eight months since the reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion stepped into the ONE Championship stage to defend her title. On October 12, 2019, she defeated “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan, 31, of China at “ONE: Century 世紀” in Tokyo, Japan.
That five-round war against the reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion in Tokyo brought the best out of Lee. The latter turned in an impeccable performance to exact vengeance on the athlete who gave her the first professional loss of her career.
Lee was slated to return to action later this year but when the global health crisis struck hard early, plans on her next bout were shelved. She is ready to defend her title against her next challenger as the situation with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic eases throughout the world and ONE Championship is able to resume hosting live events once again.

Currently ranked number one among the top contenders in ONE Championship’s women’s atomweight division is Denice “The Menace Fairtex” Zamboanga, 22, of the Philippines. She is training out of Fairtex Training Center in Pattaya, Thailand.
“I’m just excited to get back in the ONE Circle again,” Lee said. “I’m feeling extremely motivated for my next matchup. I think it’ll be a great fight.”
