Competing in ONE Championship‘s striking-only league ONE Super Series would be a privilege for Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio, 31, of the Philippines. Training at Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines, the Igorot mixed martial artist is a former ONE Flyweight World Champion.
“It would be a privilege for me to compete in ONE Super Series among legends but right now, I’m just focused on my MMA career and looking to get back on track,” Eustaquio said. “It’s been a rough couple of years but I still consider myself among the top in my division. My mind is still on the flyweight title and that’s what I’m working towards but yes definitely, I want to test my striking against the best in the world.”

Trained by Filipino MMA pioneer Mark “The Machine” Sangiao, 41, Team Lakay fighters are known for their striking skills. Currently reigning as the Muay Thai champion of ONE Super Series in the flyweight division is “The Iron Man” Rodtang Jitmuangnon, 22, of Thailand.
“I think Rodtang is a tremendous athlete and a big inspiration to many,” Eustaquio said. “Even though he’s the champion, he never forgets where he came from. You can still find humility in him and I have so much respect for him.”
Rodtang holds a professional Muay Thai record of 261 wins, 41 losses and 10 draws. The last time he successfully defended his ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship belt was at “ONE: A New Tomorrow” on January 10, 2020 in Bangkok where he knocked out Jonathan “The General” Haggerty, 22, of the United Kingdom.
“I think his greatest strength is his durability,” Eustaquio said of Rodtang. “His ability to walk through the line of fire, and just goad his opponents into a fight. It’s admirable. At the same time, it’s his biggest weakness.”
“Fighters with that kind of style tend to underestimate things,” the Team Lakay fighter continued.”In this sport, you can never predict what is coming, or how heavy or dangerous a strike could be. We’re only humans after all and he’s just a man.”

On July 31, 2020, the reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion will once again defend in the main event of “ONE: No Surrender” in Bangkok, Thailand. His challenger is his countryman Petchdam Petchyindee Academy, 30.
“One day it would be an honor for me to share the ONE Super Series ring with this legend,” Eustaquiao said of Rodtang. “Or maybe, if he wants to shift over to MMA, I can put together a welcome party.”
